Christmas Tea
South Hill Christian Church's Annual Christmas Tea takes place on Monday, December 8, 2008. Known for its special place in the community, the Christmas Tea ushers in the holiday season by bringing the touch of Christ's birth to the women in our area. The evening includes special music, drama performances, refreshments, and ends with the singing of Christmas Carols.
Women's Retreat
The Spring retreat was held Camp Berachah on April 18th-20th. The theme was "Facing Your Giants." This retreat is always a high point of the year for the ladies and this year was no exception. The women enjoyed wonderful fellowship, teaching, skits, and activities while getting away from the stresses of everyday life!
A Midsummer Night's Tea Review The Women of South Hill Christian Church enjoyed a SPECTACULAR event this summer! 44 women joined together looking beautiful with hats and tea cups. We began the event with a hat decorating contest around the tables, then moved into the Silent Auction. There were 20 great items to choose from ranging from jewelry to a yard of dirt! The women joined in the spirit of things and began outbidding one another right from the start, raising over $460 which will defray costs for our next women’s retreat (at Black Lake…more details to follow!). We played some great games and then sat down to an amazing 4 Course High Tea, served with excellence by members of our youth group and provided by our wonderful cooks. We ended the event with a challenge from God’s Word to do what it takes to have connected relationships with one another, and also with contented tummies! A great big thank you to all who participated to make our summer event so special!
