NURSERY care is provided by parents and other volunteers during the 10:30 service for children ages 0 - 5 in three different early childhood rooms.
- INFANT ROOM 0 -2 year olds are watched in the peaceful atmosphere with age appropriate toys, rockers & swings. Parents and volunteers can enjoy listening to the service while tending to the needs of the babies in this room.
- TODDLER ROOM 2 & 3 year old children love to climb on the castle or ride on the horse. These active youngsters enjoy a fun playtime, a simple Bible story, activity and snack. This room is usually staffed by one paid employee who is there each week to provide the security and continuity this age group needs.

PRESCHOOL 4 & 5 year old preschool age children enjoy the kitchen, the workbench and the creative play activities provided in this room. They learn more about Jesus' love through Bible stories, music and group activities.
ELEMENTARY school children ages 6 years through 6th grade attend the first segment of worship with their family in the main sanctuary. This provides time for these young ones to hear special announcements and to participate in worship with the body. At a designated time, the children are dismissed to meet the teachers in the small lobby for age-appropriate Bible lessons, games and fun! On the first Sunday of each month, we pass communion "family style" to allow parent to oversee their children who may be ready to take communion.

CREATIVE KIDS CLUB is an outreach ministry to the students of Pope Elementary School. Students come to SHCC every Wednesday afternoon after school is dismissed.

"MEET ME AT THE MANGER" kicks off with an Informational Meeting on Sunday, September 21st from 12:30 to 1:00pm in the small auditorium. "Meet Me At the Manger" is our Christmas Children's Musical to be performed on Sunday, December 14th in our regular Sunday morning worship service. See the Calendar for the rehearsal schedule.
