Have you been looking for a friendly church to visit?
We all know what it's like to walk into a new environment where you don't really know anyone, are unfamiliar with the surroundings and feel a little awkward. Well, we here at SHCC want to make it a little easier and less awkward for you to visit us and we do that through our Hospitality Ministry.
Our Lord Jesus admonished us to show hospitality to all who would enter our household (Heb. 13:2).Through the Hospitality Ministry we extend the hand of fellowship to you in the most personal way we can right from the start and make your visit with us memorable and one that endures. We'd like you to feel glad that you took the time to get to know us and let us personally meet you.
To meet that goal, our Hospitality Ministry offers that a "Host" or "Hostess" will meet you when you walk into our sanctuary and, if you would like them to, they will be delighted to stay with you throughout the Service. It is the task of the Host to find out something about you and be able to answer some of the questions you might have about our church. As time allows, your Host will introduce you to individual members of our congregation before and/or after the Service.
At the end of the Service, with your permission, your Host will be most happy to introduce you to the Pastor as our Pastor loves to personally welcome first time visitors. Then, your personal Host will accompany you to our Visitor table where you will receive a special gift, a packet of information about our church and you will be able to sign our Visitor book.
If your experience was a pleasant one and you wish to return and be greeted by your Personal Host the next time you visit, just let them know and they or another Host will be made available to meet you once more before the Service. You can make these arrangements several times until you feel comfortable and familiar with our fellowship.
To arrange for this special feature of our fellowship, call the church office and let them know the date of your intended visit and your desire to have one of our Hosts or Hostesses greet you. Services are every Sunday at 10:30.
