What does it mean to STAY THE COURSE in the Christian life? The phrase has a nautical origin although it is also used for races and on battlefields too. A general understanding, though, is clear: "If you stay the course, you finish something that you have started, even though it has become very difficult."
It is true, even as Christians, that life gets hard and confusing sometimes. STAYING THE COURSE may seem not only difficult, but impossible! Paul may have found the key, however, when he said, “I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.” Acts 20:24 NASB
This year in Women’s Ministries we are going to work to do just that!
